Vestas, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer, has won a contract to supply and install wind turbines for the 423 MW Novo Horizonte wind park in Brazil from Pan American Energy Energias Renováveis. The wind farm, which is located in the Brazilian state of Bahia, will receive 94 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines from the company. The wind turbines will be delivered and commissioned by Vestas in 2024. Under a 20-year active output management 5000 agreement, it will also service the wind turbines.

In April 2022, Vestas was awarded a 295 MW order for the Zhong Neng offshore wind project in Changhua County, Taiwan. China Steel Corporation and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners are working together on the project. It would have 31 Vestas V174-9.5 MW turbines with the capacity to power 300,000 Taiwanese households each year. Vestas expects to start supplying turbines for the project next year, with the wind farm set to become active in 2024.

In March 2022, Vestas signed an MoU with Ulsan City, its port authority, and Sejin Heavy Industries & Construction to collaborate on plans to create a 9 GW floating offshore wind complex by 2030. According to the provisions of the MoU, Vestas is expected to work with Ulsan authorities and Sejin to develop the necessary infrastructure for the project, including establishing a base for the manufacturing and export of offshore wind equipment.
