EGAT completes hydro-floating solar hybrid project in Thailand

The world’s reportedly largest hydro-floating solar hybrid project, built by EGAT at Sirindhorn Dam has begun commercial operation. The 45 MW Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid Project at Sirindhorn Dam in Ubon Ratchathani Province began commercial operation on October 31, 2021. It will also become a new tourism attraction for the province of Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand in early 2022.

India state owned utility MSEDCL floats tender to procure 500 MW of wind-solar hybrid power

Indian state-owned utility for the state of Maharashtra, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has floated a tender to procure 500 MW of wind-solar hybrid power on a long-term basis from grid-connected interstate and intrastate projects. According to documents, MSEDCL will sign power purchase agreement (PPA) with the selected bidders for a period of 25 years.
