DAI Global offers technical assistance for green energy projects in Vietnam

Development Alternatives Incorporated has invited expressions of interest (EoI) on behalf of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Vietnam Government to offer technical assistance to renewable energy developers in Vietnam. The support is being extended to offset risk costs and to encourage renewable energy developers to invest in new projects, thereby helping the country meet its energy needs. Vietnam to auction 400 MW of floating solar projects

Vietnam backed by the Asian Development Bank has proposed launching tenders for 400 MW of floating solar projects in the country. Renewable energy developers will be able to bid for 50-100 MW under the first batch and 300 MW in the second batch. The ADB is looking for six consultants with environmental, social, and financial expertise to support the auction.

PNE AG to develop 2 GW offshore wind farm in Vietnam

German renewable energy group, PNE AG announced its plans to develop a 2-GW offshore wind farm in the waters of the Phu Cat and Phu Dinh districts, in the Central Vietnamese province of Vietnam. The announcement was made at a working group meeting between the German company and the authorities of the province. An estimated investment of $4.8 billion will be required for the project as the company aims to install 154-166 wind turbines in the province.
