CIP divests two US onshore wind farms to TC Energy

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has reached an agreement with TC Energy to sell two of its US onshore wind farms in Texas for an undisclosed sum. CIP has agreed to sell the Blue Cloud and Fluvanna I wind farms through its Copenhagen Infrastructure II K/S fund. Located in Scurry County, Fluvanna I is a 155 MW project that has been operational since 2017. The 148 MW Blue Cloud wind farm opened in 2018 in Bailey and Lamb Counties.

Ørsted acquires Brookfield’s onshore wind power platform

Ørsted has entered into an agreement with Brookfield Renewable to acquire a 100% equity interest in its existing Ireland and UK onshore wind business, Brookfield Renewable Ireland (BRI). With this transaction, Ørsted will enter the European onshore wind market. The transaction is expected to close by Q2 2021 and BRI’s existing management team will continue to run the business which will be integrated into Ørsted’s Onshore business unit over time.

Red Rock Power acquires 50 per cent stake in Swedish wind farm

Red Rock Power Limited has acquired Green Investment Group’s 50 per cent equity share of Överturingen onshore wind farm located in central Sweden. Red Rock Power will partner with CapMan Infra, a Nordic infrastructure manager for this deal and will form the Cloud Snurran AB joint venture.
