Eneco and European Energy form a joint venture for Denmark offshore wind tender

Dutch energy company Eneco and Danish European Energy have formed a new joint venture called Swan Wind. The two companies had joined forces so as to submit a proposal for the Thor offshore wind farm tender and Danish Energy Agency has recently qualified this joint venture for the said tender. Thor offshore wind farm is one of the two large offshore wind farms to be built in Denmark before 2030.

Offshore wind projects in the US

According to forecasts, the US offshore wind industry is expected to deliver 25 GW by 2029. Of this, 9 GW has already been contracted or will be soon approved. The state renewable purchase standards contracting call for 34 GW by 2035. Ørsted commissions 752 MW offshore wind farm in the Netherlands

Ørsted has announced that it has fully commissioned the Borssele 1 and 2 wind farms in the Dutch North Sea. The project is located 22 km off the coast of the Zeeland province and has a total capacity of 752 MW. The wind farm houses 94 wind turbines of 8 MW each which have been supplied by Siemens Gamesa.
