MingYang Smart Energy, a Chinese turbine manufacturer, has been awarded a supply contract by PowerChina International Group for the 375 MW Ca Mau offshore wind project in Vietnam. Until now, the project has been the largest offshore wind power project in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

China-based MingYang Smart Energy Group has launched a new 11 MW hybrid-drive offshore wind turbine, MySE11-203 which is said to be the world’s biggest hybrid-drive wind turbine. It will install a prototype in 2021 and will make the turbine commercially available in 2022.
