Macquarie Asset Management to sell stake in Lincs offshore wind farm

Macquarie Asset Management has agreed to sell a 15.5 per cent stake in the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm (Lincs) to Octopus Energy Generation funds. The asset manager held the stake through Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund V. No financial details have been disclosed. The 15.5 per cent stake is acquired by Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust and Sky, funds managed by Octopus Energy Generation.

Macquarie Asset Management consortium to acquire Reden Solar for €2.5 billion

A consortium comprising Macquarie Asset Management, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) and MEAG has agreed to acquire Reden Solar. Reden Solar is being purchased from InfraVia Capital Partners and Eurazeo for €2.5 billion. With a 762 MW active portfolio and a 15 GW development pipeline, Reden Solar develops, finances, builds, and runs solar power projects in Europe and Latin America.

Macquarie raises €1.6 billion for investing in solar and wind power projects

Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (“MIRA”) has raised more than €1.6 billion for investment in renewable energy against its initial minimum fundraising target of €1 billion. The company has reached the final closure of its 25-year closed-end fund, Macquarie Green Investment Group Renewable Energy Fund 2 (“MGREF2”). MGREF2 will invest in a diversified portfolio of operational and under construction solar and wind power projects as well as clean energy platforms.

Macquarie fund buys 622 MW Romanian renewables portfolio

Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) has decided to acquire a portfolio of Romanian power assets from energy conglomerate, CEZ Group. The portfolio comprises a renewable energy platform with 622 MW of primarily onshore wind farms, as well as an 86,665 kms of regulated electricity distribution network and an electricity and gas supply business with 1.4 million residential and industrial connections in the South West of Romania.
