Cypress Creek purchases 400 MW energy storage portfolio in Texas

Cypress Creek Renewables, a US-based solar energy provider, has purchased 400MW/600MWh of standalone energy storage projects in Texas from Black Mountain Energy Storage (BMES). The company acquired four independent energy storage projects with a combined capacity of 100 MW that were spread out across the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). The development stages of each energy storage project are presently underway.

Hunt Energy and Manulife form a JV to develop 500 MW energy storage projects within ERCOT

Dallas-based Hunt Energy Network formed has a joint venture with Manulife Investment Management to develop 500 MW of energy storage within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). The new company will be called HEN Infrastructure and will develop and manage a portfolio of distribution-level energy storage assets in ERCOT, dispatched by Hunt Energy Network’s TraDER platform.
