Corio Generation, an offshore wind company, has signed a joint development agreement with FECON, a Vietnamese construction firm, for a 500 MW offshore wind project in Vietnam’s Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The proposed fixed-bottom plant, which would be located between 23-35 km off the coast, is expected to be one of the country’s first large-scale offshore wind projects.

Corio Generation, an offshore wind developer, has announced plans to develop five offshore wind farms in Brazil with a total capacity of more than 5 GW. The five fixed-bottom offshore wind projects were constructed in partnership with Servtec Energia, a Brazilian power generation company. Corio plans to build the Guarita and Cassino offshore wind farms, both of which will have more than 1.2 GW of capacity, off the coast of Brazil.

Corio Generation, a portfolio company of Green Investment Group (GIG), has partnered with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers) to develop up to 9 GW of offshore wind capacity worldwide. The collaboration encompasses 14 fixed-bottom and floating projects that Corio is currently building in South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Ireland, and the UK.
