TSE commissions 152 MW solar facility in Marville, France

TSE, a private French company specialising in solar energy, has inaugurated its 152 MW solar facility in Marville, France, which was built in collaboration with Enerparc AG. The Marville power station presently contains roughly 364,000 solar modules, some of which include revolutionary bifacial contemporary technology. The total installed power of 152MWp produced roughly 160 GWh per year, which is enough to meet 90 per cent of Verdun city’s annual usage.

Tracia Network Corporation commissions El Salvador’s first wind farm

The Ventus Wind Project, El Salvador’s first wind farm, was successfully commissioned by Tracia Network Corporation. The 54 MW wind farm in Metapán is composed of 15 Vestas V136 turbines of 3.6 MW each. This project will considerably increase El Salvador’s renewable energy generating capacity and offset roughly 200,000 tonnes of CO2 into the environment each year.

Kahone and Kaél solar plants in Senegal go into commercial operation

The Kahone and Kaél solar power plants, with a combined capacity of 60 MWp are now supplying power into Senegal’s national electricity grid. The projects are owned by a consortium of Engie, Meridiam, and Senegal’s Fonsis. These companies will sell power to the Senegalese national electricity company (Senelec) at 25 CFA Francs per kWh. It is estimated that the two solar power plants are capable of supplying 580,000 Senegalese households. The projects also avoid the emission of 89,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Clenera commissions 127.5 MW solar park in Iowa

Clenera LLC has announced the commissioning of its 127.5 MW DC Wapello Solar photovoltaic project in Louisa County, Iowa. The project is located near Wapello and was developed by Clenera in collaboration with Renewable Energy Systems. The park was developed in six months and created approximately 250 jobs at peak construction. The Wapello project is now the largest solar project in Iowa state. The project is located across 800 acres of land and is equipped with 318,000 bifacial solar panels supplied by Risen Energy with fixed single-axis trackers by FTC Solar, optimized for bifacial performance. Additionally, the park also uses 34 solar inverters which were supplied by SunGrow.

Avangrid Renewables commissions 155 MW wind farm in South Dakota

Avangrid Renewables announced the commissioning of its 154.8 MW Tatanka Ridge Wind Farm. The project consists of 56 wind turbines and is located in Deuel County, S.D., northeast of Brookings. Further, the wind farm is owned by Tatanka Ridge Wind, LLC, a joint venture between Avangrid Renewables and WEC Energy Group. The wind farm has penned a power purchase agreement with the Dairyland Power Cooperative for 51.6 MW of its capacity.
