The UK Hydrogen Strategy initially defined the UK Government’s vision for the development of a hydrogen economy, with an ambition for 5GW of hydrogen production by 2030 and the development of hydrogen networks, storage and a range of possible end-uses. This has very recently been updated in the British Energy Security Strategy where the 2030 production target has been increased to 10 GW, with at least half of this from electrolysis.
