Tesvolt plans to invest in new battery storage facilities

Tesvolt AG, a technology leader in commercial and industrial energy storage intends to build a new gigafactory at its headquarters in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany. A highly automated production building for battery storage systems. Also, a new research and development centre is planned for construction. The carbon neutral facility will eventually have a production capacity of up to four gigatonnes per year. Construction will begin in the spring of 2023 and will be completed in 2024.

Advantage Africa: Low cost of producing lithium-ion battery precursors in the DRC

The objective of study is to determine the cost of producing lithium-ion battery precursors in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and benchmark the cost to that of the U.S., China and Poland. In addition to the cost, the study assesses the emissions associated with the production of precursors in the DRC for the global electric vehicle market compared with producing them in China and Poland.
