Ivoire Hydro Energy (IHE) has received Euro 25 million from the Private Infrastructure Development Group’s Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF). The money will be used to build the Singrobo hydropower dam in Southern Ivory Coast. Then loan was issued with a 25-year repayment option. IHE, the project developer, will receive the funds and the loan is in addition to other sources of funding that have previously been secured.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has committed to funding $530 million to finance the construction of a 343 km, 400 kV central-south transmission line that will connect the north and south transmission grids in Angola to allow for power distribution between the two regions.
