Acciona Energía to acquire BESS project from Qcells in Texas

Acciona Energía, a subsidiary of the Spanish infrastructure firm Acciona, has agreed to purchase the Cunningham battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Texas from Qcells. No financial details have been disclosed.  The Cunningham facility, which is 55 miles from Dallas, is expected to come online in 2023 and will be the largest operating battery energy storage project in Texas.

FORTIA, an energy management platform, and ACCIONA Energía, a subsidiary of ACCIONA, have signed a framework agreement for ACCIONA Energía to deliver 1 TWh of renewable energy annually. ACCIONA Energía to construct Opor and Boraja II wind farms in Croatia

ACCIONA Energía, a subsidiary of Acciona, a Spanish renewable energy company, plans to build two wind farms in Croatia. The two wind farms are the 45 MW-capable Boraja II and the 27 MW Opor wind project. Their construction is tied to a 12-year Contract for Difference (CfD) signed with Croatian energy and gas regulator HROTE.

Acciona begins construction of GW-scale Australian wind farm

Acciona Energía, a Spanish renewable energy company, has begun construction on the MacIntyre complex, a 1,026 MW wind farm in Queensland, Australia. MacIntyre and Karara wind farms are part of the $1.4 billion wind complex. MacIntyre is a 923 MW wind farm in which ACCIONA Energía owns a 70 per cent share and Ark Energy owns the remaining 30 per cent.
