Nordex has received orders to deliver Delta4000 turbines to two wind farms in Italy. Nordex will deliver five N149/5.X turbines for one 26.1 MW project, while six N133/4.8 turbines will be put in a second 28.8 MW wind farm. A contract for the turbines is also included in the orders, which is for an initial two-year period with multiple 10-year renewal possibilities.
Both wind farms will be constructed on mountain ranges 900 metres above sea level in the Campania area of southwestern Italy. The turbines will be installed in the summer of 2022, and the wind farms will be completed in the fall of that same year
Italy has placed 143 MW of orders with the Nordex Group since the beginning of 2021. Their first project with five N163/5.X turbines is the largest ever built in Italy. All of the projects are anticipated to be completed by 2022.
