EDP Renewables (EDPR), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC (EDPR NA), and Northern Indiana Public Service Company, LLC (NIPSCO), a subsidiary of NiSource Inc. plan to set up 204 MW Indiana Crossroads II Wind Farm and 200 MW Indiana Crossroads Solar Park in White County, Indiana.

The two companies have signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) and a build and transfer agreement (BTA) for the two renewable energy projects. As per the PPA, NIPSCO has bought the full capacity of the wind farm, which is expected to become operational in 2023. The As per the terms of the BTA, the solar farm is expected to become operational in 2022. Once completed, NIPSCO will enter into a joint venture with EDPR.

These are the third and fourth projects EDPR and NIPSCO have partnered on together. They had earlier signed BTAs for two other wind farms in White County, 302 MW Indiana Crossroads I Wind Farm and the 102 MW Rosewater Wind Farm. While the first is still under construction, the second is operational.  

Recently, a joint venture of EDP Renewables and Engie, Ocean Winds, signed a collaboration agreement with Terna Energy for development of offshore wind projects in Greece. As part of the agreement, the companies will identify the most suitable areas in the Greek seas for co-development of floating offshore capacity. They together plan to develop a pipeline of over 1.5 GW capacity according to their development roadmap for the current decade.
