In Gujarat, ENGIE will commission a 200 MW solar power project at the Raghanesda Solar Power Park. ENGIE worked with many government agencies in Gujarat to build the project. The company won the project through a bidding procedure, and a power purchase agreement for 25 years was signed in August 2019 with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The project was carried out by Electro Solaire Private Limited, an ENGIE Group special purpose entity. Jinko, Longi, and String supplied the modules, while Huawei supplied the inverters. Sterling & Wilson was the Balance of Plant contractor and will also perform O&M for this project for a five-year term. The project was completed in 14 months. It is spread across 380 hectares inside the Raghanesda Solar Park developed by a Gujarat state entity, Gujarat Power Corporation Limited.

With the completion of this project, ENGIE’s portfolio in India currently includes 17 projects totaling over 1.1 GWp of solar PV and 280 MW of wind power.
