Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (B&W) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire VODA A/S, a waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy services based firm. B&W will create a B&W Renewable Service which will be integrated with VODA A/S and B&W Vølund aftermarket services businesses.
This platform will enable B&W to operate its renewable service business across Europe, catering to both existing and new customers in the region. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of October 2021. This will enable greater expansion of B&W’s and VODA’s services in Europe’s fast-growing renewable energy market. B&W is headquartered in Akron, Ohio. It provides energy and environmental technologies and services to the power and industrial markets. VODA A/S is headquartered in Vejen, Denmark. It operates in energy-producing incineration plants including waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy plants. Its portfolio of services includes engineering services, spare parts as well as general outage support and management.
