ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (IIP) has published a request for proposal (RfP) to build a 390 MW solar PV project in Togo, as well as a 200 MWh storage system and a 161 KvA substation. The project will be funded by ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP), an African creator and operator of industrial ecosystems. The approved developer will be granted an engineering, procurement, and construction contract, as well as a five-year operation and maintenance contract, or they may create a joint venture with ARISE and enter into a 20-year power purchase agreement. Interested parties are to send an Expression of Interest to ARISE IIP by July 20, 2021. The deadline for proposal submissions is scheduled to be 12 weeks after the procurement papers are issued.

The West African area offers significant renewable energy potential, which is adequate to meet unmet power demand and provide universal access to electricity while also assisting the region’s transition to a low-carbon growth path. This is why it is important that successful operation is carried out for the solar PV and storage plant.

ARISE IIP delivers ecosystems throughout Africa, helping the continent’s industrialisation strategy and improving manufacturing competitiveness. ARISE IIP operates the Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ), the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ), and the Adétikopé Industrial Platform in Togo (PIA).
