Petronas’ subsidiary Amplus Solar has signed a long-term agreement with Microsoft for a 100 MW solar project that is under development in Rajasthan, India. The strategic alliance aims at co-innovating digital solutions supporting Petronas’ decarbonisation goals.

Both companies are aiming to develop energy industry’s first digital sustainability core by implementing the use of digital technology to power environmental sustainability. The efforts will be focused on creating an intelligent platform driven by data and artificial intelligence to achieve the decarbonisation efforts of Petronas. This will be done while maintaining unified sustainability data hub to record, report and reduce emissions.

Petronas is a global energy group that produces and delivers energy, and solutions for sustainable development. It targets to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
